Hey old friend, you're right I haven't been around here so much lately. I need to put that right - got to have somewhere to escape to and this den of imbeciles, ingrates and the intelligentsia is as good a place as any... I'll try to drop you an email later in the week and we can catch up with this and that.

Meantime, I've been listening to Steve Kimock a lot more than the GD lately and wondered if you give me some recommendations. The two tracks I've been particularly into are High and Lonesome and Cole's Law - 04-14-01 at the Great American Music Hall features both and is just awesome. Any others I might have missed? Thanks, buddy!

i suppose this is as good a place as any huh?? even with the likes of Tell around, this locale is reasonably palatable (i guess...)

i would love to hear how things are goin for ya - though i am as lazy in sending emails as you :)

as for Kimock? - i dont have my lists or notes with me at the moment, but will certainly forward you some fine ideas. havent been paying too much attention to the dates of shows ive been listening to lately - damn ipod is a pain that way.

Hey Rob, I know you didn't ask my opinion but try these two shows from my town on for size. These shows blew me away. Probably the best shows I've seen swince being up here.

I'm completely unqualified to address this topic, but this is the sole show I saw and by all accounts it was a good one (I just happened to be back home in NC visiting the folks and always try to grab a beer and game of pool at the cave and a show at the cradle):
